Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s proposed financial plan for 2026-2027 has sparked concern among local school districts, as it is expected to cut funding for approximately 60 percent of publicly funded schools. In Belmont County, more than half of the school districts are facing fiscal tightening over the next 2 years.
