19 News has confirmed with the Cleveland Teachers Union that two long-time teachers for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) were killed in a fiery crash in North Carolina. The single car crash happened on Friday at 1:18 pm on Interstate 85 north and Interstate 40 east near Chapel Hill. Maria Nunney, 50, of Cleveland, a passenger in the family’s van, died at the scene.
