As the price of groceries have gone up so has the need in more and more students experiencing hunger. That’s why Mustangs Care an organization created to help meet that need is stepping up. They measure the problem by how many children apply for free and reduced lunch. “It has gone from, we were about 42, 43 percent back in 2018 and now over 50 percent of our children can register for free or reduced lunch through state and federal programs,” Jessica Licata, Mustangs Care Founder said.
