More than 2,000 school board seats in Ohio will be won in Tuesday night’s election. Overall trust in local school boards has changed dramatically over the years. Kathleen Knight Abowitz is in her 30th year as an educational philosophy professor at Miami University. For six years, she served on a local school board and continues researching how political agendas are affecting school boards’ abilities to govern.
