March 27th,2024-CLEVELAND, Ohio-Keli Clark, who lost her daughter Noelle to a fentanyl overdose in 2017, is now mourning the death of her son Michael due to the same epidemic. In honor of her children, she started a nonprofit called Project Noelle, initially aimed at aiding children who lost loved ones to addiction by providing grief support and essentials. Now expanding it to “Michael’s Place,” she aims to help caretakers enroll children in sports as a tribute to her son’s love for sports. Despite personal tragedy, Clark perseveres to support others affected by the opioid epidemic, highlighting the overlooked needs of children and caretakers in the crisis. The culprit responsible for her son’s death is set to be sentenced, underlining the ongoing battle against drug-related fatalities.
