April 5th, 2024-RAVENA, Ohio-The Ravenna Board of Education is seeking a replacement for its treasurer, Candi Lukat, who resigned recently. Teri Morgan from the Ohio School Boards Association presented to the board about the selection process if they choose OSBA for the search. The board didn’t make a decision but scheduled another meeting for further discussion.
The district aims to find a treasurer soon, despite starting the search late in the school year. Morgan cautioned that the candidate pool might be small, but OSBA is working to expand it by collaborating with educational institutions. OSBA guarantees satisfaction and offers to restart the search if needed. Their services cost $7,500 plus mileage. In the meantime, Sherry Tyson and Ryan Pendleton are managing the district’s finances through a contract with educational service organizations.
