ANDERSON, Ohio-Shalonda Mixon, sister of former Bengals player Joe Mixon, has accepted a plea agreement related to a shooting at her brother’s house in 2023. She pleaded guilty to obstructing justice and received three years of probation, allowed to serve it in California where she currently resides. Her boyfriend, Lamonte Brewer, faces charges for allegedly firing shots during the incident.
Surveillance footage showed Shalonda collecting shell casings from the yard before leaving. Joe Mixon was present but not charged. Brewer’s attorneys argue he met the requirements for justifiable possession, citing a perceived threat the night of the shooting.
