BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The Bowling Green Board of Education departed from its usual practice during Monday’s meeting by prioritizing continuity over tradition. Typically, the vice president ascends to the presidency when new board members are sworn in every two years.
However, Board Member Bill Clifford proposed a different approach, emphasizing the importance of continuity based on his prior experience with the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities. He suggested that Board Member Ginny Stewart continue as president, with himself remaining as vice president. Clifford praised Stewart’s dedication to the district and noted her agreement to the proposal. The board unanimously voted to reinstate Stewart as president, acknowledging the responsibility of the role. Stewart expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her.
