Ohio State Students Raise Safety Concerns After Emeritus Professor was Robbed on Campus

COLUMBUS, Ohio-An Ohio State University emeritus professor was robbed at knifepoint in the Arps Garage on campus around 5 p.m. The suspect demanded and stole money before fleeing, and no injuries were reported. The incident has raised safety concerns among students who use the parking garage regularly, despite existing security measures like cameras and emergency poles. Ohio State President Ted Carter emphasized enhancing security, while Chief Kimberly Spears-McNatt urged vigilance and announced increased patrols in the area. The suspect, described as male, remains unidentified, and anyone with information is urged to contact Ohio State University Police.
