Kids get Free Haircuts for Start of Schools Thanks to Hamilton Salon

< 1 min read

CINCINNATI, Oho-Last week, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton provided free haircuts to local kids, thanks to Hue Mane Salon and its owner, Biz Jarvis. As the school year approaches, these haircuts aim to boost students’ confidence and ease their transition back to school. Jarvis, a former social worker, sees this as a way to “level the playing field” and give back, inspired by the positive impact adults had on her own life. The initiative, which has been previously supported by others like More Than A Cut Barbershop, is part of a broader effort by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton to support students. Jarvis, planning further community work, is in talks with the Hamilton Community Foundation to expand these efforts.
