BELEFONTAINE, Ohio-On Monday, students at Benjamin Logan Elementary took part in fun and educational mock elections to learn about the voting process. In Mrs. Braddocks’s class, a “cookie election” was held where students voted between Oreo and Chocolate Chip cookies, with Oreo winning after the votes were tallied and graphed. Meanwhile, third graders in Mrs. Morgan Dixon’s class participated by creating voter registration cards, casting ballots for their favorite candy, and writing reflections on their choices. These interactive activities provided students with an engaging introduction to decision-making and civic responsibility, helping to build future-ready, responsible citizens.
